Dear Mother and Father

Here is the poem I wrote for my parents for my graduation. It is not my best because I was still writing it at midnight the night before! =P

Dear Mother and Father

Dear Mother and Father,
I’ll be alright.
Don’t worry or cry for me,
God will hold me safe and tight.

Don’t worry about my safety,
For God is my protector.
He is also my Strong Hold,
Healer, and my Soul Collector.

Thank you so much
For everything you taught—
From reading to hiking,
And how to speak my thoughts.

Thank you the most,
For teaching me of Christ.
Without Him I’m truly hopeless
For my sin is too great to price.

Don’t worry of my dependence,
I’ll need you forever and always
Even with those little colds,
I’ll still need your comfort phase.

I want to thank you again,
For always being there for me
When ever I think of you,
I’ll think of all our many memories.
Then I’ll just pick up the phone
So you won’t be able to worry!
