I made it back... safely... healthy...and alive! ;)
I had a pretty nice time while I was there. We left Sunday and stayed in Virginia. Then Monday, we finished to Tennessee. While we were driving, we listened to Narnia. We got through "The Magician's Nephew," "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," and "The Horse's Boy." They were pretty good; I've never read them before.
In the morning and evening while we were there, I watched Josiah while his parents where at the conference. Wednesday morning, me and Josiah even got to go and listen to two speakers. They were both really good (even though it was aimed more towards pastors, I still got a lot out of it)!
Then on our way home Thursday, we stopped to take a hike. As we were finishing the hike, we met a guy named Riki. He was paralyzed in half his face and had a bad limp. He went on to tell us how people at his job were very rude and he had a hard time not getting angry at them. He said people would wait until he got trash cleaned up and then leave trash behind (that's pretty sad). We told him we'd pray for him to have patience and not get angry at his job. And we even prayed right there with him. He then was asking questions because he apparently got saved just 2 or 3 days before. I thought is was so nice that we met this gentleman and got to talk to him.
We then left and finally got to the hotel in Virginia to stay the night about 8:30pm. It was a while before we actually got to sleep, though.
Then today, on our way home, we stopped at Harper's Ferry and walk on a few trails. It was pretty nice reading all the signs and learning some more history about the Civil War and Stonewall Jackson. We got to see some of the original houses in that area. They were pretty neat to see. We went and did a letter box, too. They forgot their stamp, so we used a very small crayon of Josiah's. Ha Ha.
I finally got home about 8-8:30ish, when I had to get back into the car and go to the store with my dad to get a few things. But we had a nice talk on the way while he was catching me up on the Bible study that I missed. That brings me to right now: I'm going to bed! LOL. I am pretty tired. ;)
Glad you're home!! Missed you Wednesday night ... we even did upset the fruit basket in the Youth room ;)
