Avocado coconut shake

As I was searching online what to do with avocados, I came across the idea of a avocado shake. I normally do not like avocados because of their bitterness, but this is so delicious! If you like a light coconut taste, you'll love this! Here is what I put into it.

Avocado Coconut Shake For Two

1/2 avocado
1/2 c. coconut milk (I just used the canned)
1/4 heavy whipping cream (You can use milk, I used the cream because of my low-carb diet. It will still taste the same).
Two handfuls of ice
Extra sweetener is desire.

Directions
Cut avocado in half (leave seed in the half you're not using to keep fresher) peal, and cube. Throw into blender with coconut milk, cream, and ice. Blend, and BAM! The perfect shake!

  1. WOW ~ if you liked it, we may have to try it.

Never had an avocado in my life (at least that I'm aware of) and wouldn't have the foggiest idea what to do with one :) ha ha

  2. I am warning you know, do not taste it plain! It is gross (to me anyway). But in the shake you can hardly taste them. And it tastes nothing like guacamole. lol

And I'd never eaten one either. I thought I would try one. And Mmmmmmmmm! lol

  3. Finally got around to trying this! We used 2 whole avocados, 1/2 can coconut milk, 1 c. raw milk, 2 handfuls of ice, 1/2 c cocoa, lg spoonful of natural pb and about 1/2 c sugar ... didn't add the sugar right away, but it was still a little bitter so the little bit of sugar helped.

Most of us tried it ... except the two picky ones who saw the avocado laying on the counter and went the other direction! ha ha
