I am back from the Youth retreat!

I am so thankful that I had the privilege to go this week end. I have learn so much, as well as becoming closer to God and everyone there. The biggest thing I learned on this retreat is God is still ( and always will be) there. He may let go of my hand for a minute so I can wipe off all the dirt, but that does not mean he is running ahead and leaving me behind. He still loves me even though my hands are dirty. I know God is not letting me move forward right this minute because I need to finish getting equipped and throw out the old stuff.

I am so excited to finish washing my hands and seeing what God's road brings. I know that it will be bumpy, maybe even scary, but I still can't help my sense of adventure!

I also learned that God wants me to give up some of my comfort in order to benefit another one of His children! I can be pretty selfish and thinking about me all the time, but in the long run, that is not what matters. What matters is that I need to try my best to listen to God, work with the rest of God's children, and try to make it to the end of His road.

My prayer tonight is that everyone that went (and even the ones who were not able to attend) will be able to still listen to God's voice. I know from personal experience that when God speaks, it is easy to go right back to the darkness and forget all about the light. I pray each and everyone of us will pursue God and make it their life goal to stick to His plan.

Ms. Becky: I am glad I was able to be an encouragement! I am not that sore, actually! I was last night, but then I got a really hot shower and a good night sleep-- that seemed to help a lot! =)
